Our Guided Installation Tour

Make sure garage floor is clean, dry and free of any objects
Step number 1
Make sure garage floor is clean, dry and free of any objects.
Sweep dirt out of garage and remove any lumps or excess cement or debris that might cause a raised area on the surface of the floor.
Step number 2
Sweep dirt out of garage and remove any lumps or excess cement or debris that might cause a raised area on the surface of the floor.
For best results, let garage flooring material set and relax in driveway for as long as possible.
Step number 3
For best results, let garage flooring material set and relax in driveway for as long as possible. This will reduce problems of material expansion or contraction before any tape down or trimming occurs. Then, position the garage flooring at front of garage, one roll at a time.
Roll floor out, front to back, and position carefully.
Step number 4
Roll floor out, front to back, and position carefully. Use a broom to push out any air underneath floor.
Trim edges to form a tight butt joint between rolls.
Step number 5
Trim edges to form a tight butt joint between rolls. Then use seaming strip to bond rolls together to form one continuous floor. Fold back edge of roll number one. Attach seaming strip along the edge of roll number 1, leaving half of an inch of seaming strip exposed, then fold back into position. Next, fold back roll number two and carefully align along edge of roll number one. Continue process for each roll. This will let the garage flooring "float" between the exterior edges to allow for expansion and contraction.
Trim garage floor to fit around poles, boards, etc. using utility knife or scissors.
Step number 6
Trim garage floor to fit around poles, boards, etc. using utility knife or scissors. Trim edges along exterior walls leaving 1/2" gap to allow for expansion or contraction.
Your new garage flooring is finished.
Step number 7
Congratulations! Your new garage flooring is finished. You can now step back and admire the great new flooring you purchased from American Garage Floor.
